PUNE CITY CRIME BRANCH BUSTED SEX RACKET: HELD 1 KALWA RESIDENT & RESCUED 2 WOMEN:

The crime branch of the Pune City Police on Saturday rescued two women lured to the city on the pretext of employment, but forced into prostitution.
Police have arrested Suhag Shaikh (27) who lives in Kalwa in Thane district, but hails from West Bengal. The women are from West Bengal and Bangladesh respectively , police said.
The anti-human trafficking unit of the crime branch led by Senior Inspector Sanjay Nikam made the arrest.
Nikam said police constable Ganesh Jagtap had received a tip-off that a man from Mumbai runs a sex racket in the city . “Jagtap was told that Shaikh along with his two accomplices will come with two girls to Shivajinagar area on Saturday. We laid a trap, rescued the women and arrested Shaikh,“ he said.
Police investigation has revealed that the suspect had promised jobs to the women.
The investigating team comprised Assistant Police Inspector Jyoti Rajeshirke, police constables Sanjay Girme, Suresh Vidhate, Nitin Telange and Sachin Kokare.
On Friday , the anti-human trafficking unit had busted a sex racket in a society in Kondhwa area and rescued three women from Uganda.
Police had arrested a man from Uganda for allegedly allowing his rented flat to be used for flesh trade.
