KHADAK POLICE CRACKED 3 BURGLARIES - NABBED 3 CRIMINALS:

With the arrest of three suspects, Khadak police on Sunday detected three burglaries in the Ganesh Peth area. Gold and silver ornaments totally worth Rs 8.67 lakh were recovered from the suspects.
The suspects —Tukaram Sudhakar Kate (20), Aba Kisan Sarode (28) and Sagar Ramesh Veragal (19), all from Dias plot slums — are on police record, the police said.
On Saturday, the trio had allegedly broken into three flats in Mohol Complex and made away with cash and gold ornaments totally worth Rs 13 lakh.One of their accomplices, Ankush Waman Pawar, is on the run with his share of the booty, the police said.
The arrests were made by a team led by Inspector of Police ( Crime ) Shri Sunil Dorge of Khadak PS.
According to the police, the suspects stole Rs 1 lakh and gold ornaments worth Rs 3.23 lakh from Balasaheb Mohol’s flat. They then broke into the flat of Mohol’s brother, Dattatray, and stole Rs 35,000 and gold and diamond ornaments worth Rs 8.5 lakh. The three then stole Rs 3,000 from the flat of Mohol’s nephew, Kiran.
Assistant Police Inspector Prakash Patil said the police obtained CCTV footage from the premises. “We checked the footage and the suspects were immediately identified,” he said.
API Patil said the police nabbed the trio in Guruwar Peth. “During the sustained interrogation, the suspects admitted to their involvement in the burglaries. They also revealed that they had shared the stolen valuables among themselves. We have recovered gold, silver and diamond ornaments worth Rs 8.67 lakh from them,“ Patil said.
Patil said police have launched a search to trace Pawar. “Sarode is the kingpin of the gang. He has 20 cases registered against him with police which include burglaries, thefts and attempt to murder cases. Kate has six cases of burglaries registered against him and Veragal has a case of chain-snatching registered against him. Pawar has 18 cases of burglaries registered against him,“ he said.
